Hello, my name is Bianca my dog Ollie is a 2 and a half year old male golden retriever who has just been diagnosed with cancer. Ollie is otherwise a healthy young male who is currently training to become a therapy dog but just needs to take the certification test. Ollie is an affectionate young dog who loves people and deserves the best possible treatment there is.
My husband is not working and I am a social worker for families. We cannot afford much for Ollie and I already spent $2,000 just to find out he is sick. I want Ollie to be able to fulfill his purpose of becoming a therapy dog.
The day I found out he had cancer I took him to the pet store a little girl asked to pet him and I allowed. Ollie laid there nicely. The little girl asked why his eye was tearing and my husband told her that Ollie is sick with cancer and she was so sad. I just broke down thinking that Ollie is meant to help sick people not have people worry about him being sick. He loves to snuggle and run around and play with people and other animals. Any help would be a wonderful amazing gift. If Ollie is provided care he then can provide care to others!!!
Ollie deserves a chance at life and chemotherapy is very expensive. I hate that money is the deciding factor on whether my dog lives or not. No donation is small; even 10 dollars would be a great contribution to Ollie’s life!
All Chances complete 30 days after they are first Submitted for Verification by the Pet Owner. The reason they end at all is because credit card refunds must be issued if the funds cannot be raised and, therefore, the treament will not be provided.
So, if a Chance will not be fulfilled by a doctor/provider within 30 days, the money must be refunded to the people who made donations.
Shortly before the Chance completion date Pet Chance will try to work with the doctor/provider to see if the treatment can be fulfilled with partial funding.
Our goal is to fullfil as many Chances as possible!
We call it Pet Care Assurance...
At Pet Chance, our goal is to empower pet owners to make the right decisions for their pets. By funding Chances where owners have already incurred debt we are giving the next owner facing that daunting decision confidence to provide their pet with the care it needs.
The more Chances where treatment was already provided to get funded, the more likely it is owners (and vets) will make the right medical decision first, and handle the financial obligation after the fact.
